Located in Vetta, hamlet of San Pellegrino Terme, Mid Brembana Valley. Closed Jan 10th thru Feb 10th and Nov 5th thru Dec 5th.  

San Pellegrino Terme is 20 Km away from Bergamo, 25 Km from Milan Orio al Serio International Airport (BGY), and from closest motorway toll station (A4, eastbound exit Dalmine, westbound exit Bergamo).  

S. Pellegrino Terme, world famous for the bottled mineral water, boasts a beautiful city center built in flourished style at the beginning of XX century, when the resort used to be patronized by kings and aristocrats of all European Courts. Very noticeable amongst the many palaces, are the Casino, the Grand Hotel and the Spa building.

3 Km away S. Giovanni Bianco: see the Parish church of XIX century with works of Ceresa and Tiepolo and the famous relic of the Holy Thorn (taken from Jesus Crown), the Boselli Manor (XIV century), and the arcaded stretch of the Route Priula with the middle-age bridges crossing the river Enna and a long stretch of the via Mercatorum (the former merchants way linking Venice and the Swiss canton of Graubunden).

4 Km away the hamlet of Oneta, with the Grataroli House, built before 1400, known to be the birthplace of Harlequin and the Church of Our Lady of the Carmel with two works of Ceresa and the frescoed porch (XV century)

5 Km away the ravine of the Taleggio Valley, the middle-age hamlet of Cornello dei Tasso with the Postal Museum, and the starting points for Western Orobie Trail and for the pathways leading to the peaks of Venturosa and Cancervo. 

7 Km away: horseback riding.

25 Km away: Foppolo, San Simone, Carona, Valtorta, Piazzatorre and Branzi have ski lifts for downhill skiing, tracks for cross-country skiing, ice-skating rinks.

Characteristic products available: Branzi, Taleggio and Goat cheeses, homemade honey.  

 

The Castello della Botta was re-built at the beginning of the past century following the architectural rules of the neo-renaissance eclectic style on the ruins of the former manor of the Family Sonzogno, dating back to the XVI Century.

The walls and the ceilings of the dining and the music rooms and the library are covered by frescoes and furnished with antique pieces. The manor possesses the atmosphere and the fascination of the aristocracy houses of the first decade of the XX Century.

The building is located at 600 m a.s.l. in a huge hill area with breathtaking view on the valley below and features four guests rooms:

The Regina Room (the Queen Room), double bedded room with private terrace and bathroom with jacuzzi

The Gemelle Rooms (the Twin Rooms), two double bedded rooms sharing a large bathroom,

The Cadetta Room (the Cadet Room), double bedded room with private bathroom.

The Castle and/or the garden may be rented for business lunches, gala dinners, venues, products introductions, ceremonies. Rates start from 900 € net per day + setting and catering.
